There is little to make Monday less like Monday ... except for a fun, floral pant and a casual date night with your husband. Those two things made my Monday ten times better. Here's to hoping you all have a fabulous week! <3

Animal print for me is always a go. I mean how gorgeous was Brigitte Bardot sporting her leopard coat back in the day? Many of the most beautiful and stylish women in history have worn the design. I love that animal print has been such a classic part of the fashion world for many, many years. Seeing the different ways celebrities, stylists, and you folks with your fab street style wear your animal prints inspires me to continue rocking them season after season.

But let’s be honest. There is always a way to take the print too far, a la Snooki during her Jersey Shore days. Though I like to have a more simplistic, effortless look in my daily life, I especially make sure to pair a print with clothing and accessories that enhance and compliment that print, rather than compete for the spotlight. Unless of course you are going to a big, 80’s costume party then for all means clash on.

Here I went with something classic, form fitting, and stylish for my Thursday. This skirt is as comfortable as it is chic. For the remainder of my outfit, I went with black and gold to let the skirt do all of the speaking.

What is your favorite ways to wear animal print? Share them with me.

Another Tuesday, another date night. Tonight I went with one of my favorite tops. This is a gorgeous one by Free People. It gives such a sexy yet effortless vibe with the romantic, off the shoulder look. I elevated the look to a more dressed up boho look with a dark, skinny jean and black, pointy toe heels.

And please don't even get my started on how gorgeous this bag is. This is a Betsey Johnson handbag I have had since high school. I have taken such great care of it and love how classic it is. It is a killer leather bag in such a great neutral shade. The buckles are spot on as buckles are a big, new trend this spring.

I hope you all are having a great week thus far. Thank you for all the love on my blog and instagram (whatamandawore). I have some great outfits I will be posting later this week.

I was desert dreamin' this weekend. I loved my weekend getaway to the desert with my family. With weather in the eighties, it couldn't have been any better. It was the perfect reward after my busy work week. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

Friday night I celebrated my good friend, Amanda's, birthday with dinner at one of my favorite places in San Clemente. It was so fun to celebrate her birthday with friends and family.

For dinner, I paired my Express skirt with a new crop top, black heels, and my leather jacket. This was a great outfit for a friend's birthday dinner because it was more dressed up than the traditional California casual "jeans look", but still not overpowering the birthday girl herself. And with the gorgeous weather we have been having here in CA (Hello Summer!) this crop top and skirt combination was definitely doable.

I have to tell you that instead of paying $30 or more for a single crop top at Nordstrom, Bloomies, or Express, I thought the trend through and decided to hit more affordable stores like Forever 21 and H&M. Purchasing four or five $5-10 crop tops from Forever 21 was such a great way to 1) save money and 2) build many individual and unique outfits around this basic black skirt. My advice to you all is to splurge on the classic pieces that will last year after year and save by purchasing affordable trend pieces that you may be "over" by fall. I tend to avoid shopping towards the trends and simply wearing what I love and gravitate to naturally. This allows for each item I wear to reflect my personal style.

TGIF to you all! We had a gorgeous Friday today in So Cal. I chose something light and carefree to compliment the seventy+ degree weather. This Free People maxi dress is one of my favorite pieces in my closet. I paired with a brown belt my mom passed down to me many moons ago. I topped it off with some Grecian sandals, feather earrings, and a messy bun and I was good to go.

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend. I will be spending it on a mini-vacay with my family. I am looking forward to a fun getaway with all of my favorite people.

Black and white are two colors in constant rotation in my closet. You really can't go wrong with the two. Here I paired one of my new Rosebowl Flea Market finds (this great tank from LOVE NAIL TREE) with my pleather leggings and a classic pair of black, patent leather pumps. This outfit is effortlessly cool. Follow my lead and pair your own statement tee or tank with some pleather leggings for a fresh, new style statement.

Is there anything better than a boyfriend jean? They give such a relaxed, laid back look to any top they are paired with. I love the light wash and destructed look on this pair.

I picked up this floral top at Forever 21 at such a steal. Anything with floral and lace detail is a great piece to have in your closet, especially with festival season starting up. How do you pair your boyfriend jeans? You will see me continue to mix up my three pairs to create many different, on-trend looks.

Happy Tuesday to you all! Tuesday equals date night for my hubby and I. Today I went with something fun, flirty, and bright ... nothing too accessorized or over the top. Some days simpler really is better.

Tonight was Girl's Night Out for my sweet friend and I. We had a great night together as always. Here is a quick selfie shot of my GNO look. This dress was such a steal a few seasons ago at Target. I love it and how versatile it is.

I began the day with some shopping at South Coast Plaza and chose something equally stylish and comfortable. This crop top can be worn SO many different ways. Here I tied it up in a knot in the front since it is quite a bit loose around my waist. This skirt is a fun, new purchase that is a fresh, modern take on the past high-low trend we saw the last few seasons. The draping on it is so fab - this photo doesn't do it justice.

Tonight we welcomed my beautiful cousins back from their mission trip to Peru with a family dinner. It was so wonderful to hear about their trip and how life changing and motivational their experiences were. For the dinner, I went with something a tad bit more fun and on trend over my California casual day look. Who doesn't love a full, midi skirt? There is nothing more girly than the "princessy" feel that a big skirt can give you.

Red lipstick is one of the best ways to bring your look from ordinary to extraordinary. Here I put mine to good use to bring some extra "oomph" to my look.
