extensions

I love using my clip-in extensions to add some much needed length when I am feeling in need. Short hair is fun, but sometimes I want to feel like my old self, Rapunzel style.

Luckily I have Ashton to master the exact match of my hair color. I am back to a gorgeous dark brown shade. Buh bye, blonde.

go shortie.

As I am feeling under the weather, I sadly do not have many photos with my short hairdo. I needed a break from my extensions and had my sweet friend, Ashton, spice up my hair once again with a bob. It feels so refreshing to have a shoulder grazing bob. I love loading it up with texturizing spray and rocking a messy, modern bob.

Here is some great bob inspiration.

all about that glow.

My skin had always been kind to me. I have had an even and tan complexion scattered with freckles. I was always able to hop around and try different skin care products with ease and incorporate what I wished in my beauty routine.

In the last six months or so my skin began to change. I was starting to face drier skin and needed something to quench my skin's thirst while not adding oil to my T-zone. Thank goodness I was referred to Clinique's Moisture Surge and Clinique's 3-Step System.

I haven't tried anything from Clinique since I was in high school and was amazed at the quality of their products. I have been using them for about a month now and see a huge difference in my skin's dryness, glow, and all around complexion. The Moisture Surge Face Spray is heaven in a bottle and continues to refresh my skin throughout the day. I have such a beautiful glow that Clinique's Even Better foundation enhances in my day to day routine. I can even use the Moisture Surge Spray over make-up without worrying about it running or wearing off.

Please do yourself a favor and visit the Clinique counter at your local Sephora or department store and try out these amazing products. You won't regret it.

life.

What a crazy summer and fall I have had. I truly feel like I blinked and now it is Thanksgiving. I took some time away from blogging to keep up with all things going on in my life, but I am excited to start it up again. I have some great new pieces (Flynn Skye sample sale, hello!) in my wardrobe and am looking forward to sharing them via my instagram and blog.

Please stay tuned and check out all I have to share in the last few weeks of 2015 and on into 2016.

Sunday ☀️

Who doesn't love a detailed tee? It adds so much to the overall look and dresses up what would be a basic tee and denim cut offs. Today I went with this beautifully detailed grey tee and my favorite H&M cut offs. These sandals are also one of my favorite pairs in my closet. They are so comfy and stylish. I love the lace up detail around the leg.

Happy Sunday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

blooms.

I love a great outdoor space. My patio is no exception. It was needing some work as we just purchased a new bench and footstool from a fun antique fair. I purchased some adorable rugs, pillows, cushions, and candle holders from Target. I love their affordable prices and fun, bright designs on their products.

Where is your favorite place to relax and enjoy time with family and friends on summer days? I would love to hear.

brow me.

Growing up, my mama had such a beautiful and natural beauty routine. Even to this day, her skin glows and she radiates beauty! I love how she taught me so much about taking care of yourself inside and out. I will always remember her reminder to have lipstick (or gloss :) ) on no matter what I was about to go do. It made my look complete and added glam to my overall look.

I still remember to always make sure my lips are done, but I also added another must to my make-up routine, whether I am spending 5 minutes or 15 minutes on my make-up: eyebrows.

Eyebrows make the biggest difference in one's overall appearance. It can change the shape of your face, how your eyes and eye make-up appears along with many other fabulous advantages. After spending my pre-teens and teens in a time where thin eyebrows were "in" (what were we thinking!?!), I am so glad to now be living in a time where natural and fuller eyebrows take center stage a la Cara Devevingne.

Alas, not all of us are born with those gorgeous brows. What is a lady (or gent!) supposed to do if that is the case? I say run, not walk, to your nearest Nordstrom or Sephora to get a consultation from an Anastasia representative. They are by far the best in the business and have totally changed my face with the shaping and filling in of my eyebrows. I highly recommend these products below. I love them and use them every day, no matter if I am sans make-up or full glam.

summer stripes.

sunnies:Ray Ban. shoes:Target. dress:Target. purse:Brandy Melville.

After the busiest few months, I am officially on summer break and working part time. I am excited to take some down time for myself and focus on some creative outlets for me including this blog. I miss sharing all of my favorite looks, products, and experiences with you all.

Today I had the opportunity to enjoy a day with no plans. None, zip, nada. It was so nice to spend a day doing the things I love to do along with not setting an alarm this morning. 😜 That to me is always a little slice of heaven. I love a good tent dress because of the comfort factor and the nod back to the 60's in the cut and shape of the dress itself. These stripes add such a fun punch to the dress and make the dress a classic piece to have. I love pairing this dress with everything from boho booties, white vans, and everything in between.

Here's to a great summer full of some even better outfits and styling 😘

Xoxo Amanda.

triple threat

photos courtesy: Leyla Milani

Now that I am sportin' long locks again (thanks to Ashton and some great hair extensions ;) ) I need to get back into the curling wand game. In order to do so, I wanted to find a great curling wand that had the option of interchangeable wands a.k.a. three curling wands in one!

I purchased the Leyla Milani Triple Threat Interchangeable Ceramic Curling Iron and am officially in love. It really gives the best wave, shine, and bounce to my hair. It is the first wand that leaves a lasting curl without an ounce of hairspray needed. Anyone who has ever told me that before I seriously doubted, but to my surprise hairspray is no longer a day to day must!

Do yourself a favor and check out the curling wand. It is one of the best purchases I have made in beauty this year.

Spring hair inspiration.

Are you feeling the urge to chop? I did last year and it was one of the best decisions I made. Not only do I feel empowered, chic, and fresh with a new, short hair-do, it also saves me a great deal of time getting ready for the day.

Everywhere you look beautiful women are taking the plunge and creating a new look for themselves with a new hair-do. If you are feeling the itch to chop or are looking for a new color idea then this post from ELLE is a must read.

Here are some of my favorite photos from the article.

Read, enjoy, and be inspired.

Sundays are for sundresses.

dress:American Eagle Outfitters(old). shoes:Forever 21(old). earrings:Nordstrom.
Could today have been any more beautiful? Mid seventies with sunny skies and warm rays of sunlight to warm your skin and soul. I am always grateful for the beautiful weather we have in Southern California and this weekend was no exception.

I was so excited to dress for the warm weather this weekend. All of my beautiful printed and embellished shorts, sundresses, and rompers are just waiting for spring to begin and this weather to be a daily occurrence.

This little sundress from American Eagle Outfitters is one of my favorites. I love the color coral and the way it looks on my skin tone. Spring and summer are all about bright, colorful colors and prints. It is important to find shades that flatter your skin tone and hair color. Those items will give you a glow from within.

friday embellishment

T.G.I.F.!
After the week I had, it is no stretch to say I am deserving of a nice, relaxing weekend.

My sweet husband took me out to dinner on this Friday evening at my favorite local italian restaurant. Heading to a casual haunt meant wearing something classic, clean, and pretty for my dinner date. On days where I am craving some classic style I know J.Crew is the direction I need to follow. Tonight I did just that by pairing this beautiful embellished top from J.Crew along with my go-to jeggings (they are SO comfortable) and my favorite fringe booties.

My hair is growing so quickly - it was quite the traditional bob in January and now is growing back into the more relaxed, LOB. I have to say it was fun to try the bob and take my hair that short (I haven't in all of my life!). I am definitely loving the direction it is going style and length wise - I am looking forward to trying some braided updos and things soon.

Until next time,

xoxo Amanda

back at it

Hello all of you beautiful and uh-mazing blog followers,

Thank you so much for being so patient for me as I had to take some time off from blogging due to some personal matters. To say the last few months have been trying is an understatement. Luckily I have my wonderful family, friends, and community to help keep me going.

I have been keeping up some with my instagram page (WhatAmandaWore) and wanted to share a few of my photos from the time off I had from blogging. I look forward to getting back into sharing my favorite outfits, inspiration, shopping finds, and other fabulous things with you.

Keep your eyes peeled for some stylish new posts to come your way.

xoxo Amanda

Napa was AMAZING. I had the most wonderful time and loved getting away with my hubby.
slip:Free People. tank:Nordstrom B.P. denim:American Eagle Outfitters. sunnies:Ray Bans. earrings:Forever 21.

I spent the day in Santa Barbara wine country with my husband and sister. We had the best time. I enjoyed the cooler, rainy weather we had and the ability to wear a cozy sweater, boots, and jeans because we have been experiencing quite a bit of 70 degree days here in Southern California.
sweater:LOFT. denim:LOFT. boots:Nordstrom. hat:J.Crew.

I couldn't of had an update without having my sweet Belle be a part of it. She is my baby girl and I am just obsessed with her. She keeps growing and growing. Okay, Anabelle, you can stop now!

This outfit was all about an easy, effortless feel. How could you go wrong with an all black #OOTD.

when in Napa.

Hello my lovelies,

As we approach Valentines Day (and as I post this blog) I am on my way to Napa Valley for a fun and romantic Valentines and belated anniversary trip with my hubby.

Napa is always a beloved vacation spot for us. The views and experiences are just gorgeous and its truly one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. Not to mention the amazing wine and eats.

Please stay tuned to my instagram (WhatAmandaWore) as I share my photos from the Napa vacation (hashtag= #whatamandaworexnapa). I will be posting a blog detailing all my vacation outfits, must haves, and favorite stops in Napa when I return.

Until then,

xoxo Amanda

healthy mind = healthy body

I am such a believer in and devotee to yoga. I love taking the time to devote to myself, my healthy peace of mind, and my body. If one doesn't take the time to do the things that make them feel strong, happy, and complete they cannot be those things for those around them who rely on them daily.

For all of those who live in Southern California I am so torn to recommend my all time favorite studio: Pure. Love. Yoga. in San Clemente. On one hand I only want to keep the details to myself to keep it the way it is, but I also know how wonderful they are and that those in the area would love it. Pure. Love. Yoga. has the warmest, loving, and encouraging community along with one of the most beautiful studios and spa that I have ever seen.

Whatever your way to gain your healthy mindset, whether it be yoga, pilates, hiking, meditating, reading, praying, or whatever else suits your fancy, take the time for yourself to find clarity and a clear well being. Those around you as well as your beautiful self enjoy that time.
